TurfTrax reports the sad loss of Maciej Stepien

TurfTrax is sad to report the tragic loss of long-time and much valued team member, Maciej Stepien, following a fatal road traffic collision in Northamptonshire on Tuesday, 29 November.

After moving to the UK from his native Poland Maciej, 40, joined TurfTrax in June 2013 and was instrumental in the development of software and hardware for TurfTrax. He leaves a wife, Joanna and two young children, Lily and Timothy.

TurfTrax Managing Director Mike Maher said, “Maciej was a key member of our team for ten years. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family who we are endeavouring to support at this very difficult and distressing time.

“Maciej’s role within the company was multi-faceted and although primarily technical he had the talent and ability to turn his hand to almost anything. He visited many racecourses and customer locations in the UK and abroad during his time with us implementing and managing technical installations. “The value of his contribution to many of the innovations that racing continues to benefit from is incalculable, and I know those who had the pleasure of engaging with Maciej will remember him with a great deal of fondness as do his friends and colleagues here at TurfTrax.”

A service will take place at Nene Valley Crematorium on Thursday, 29 December and anyone wishing to offer their support to Maciej’s family can do so by contacting Mike Maher on 01480 408970 or 07866 383952.

Ends.
